That is something that we didn't think we could do on our own. Two levels and cutting into the existing wall to create the curve. Eddies Landscaping did a great job.

This was our first attempt at the wall installation. If you look to the right the wall ends where the deck juts out. There were steep steps leading down from there into the yard. During the second part of the wall installations those steps were removed.

Elwood, behind the fence, had to wear his megaphone after the surgery to repair his broken leg. Jake well he has one on because he had his "nip" surgery, no little Jake's out of this fella. Poor Elwood he still has to face that "nip" after his leg heals.

Elwood broke his leg January 17, 2008 and had surgery on the 18th. He is now fully healed and running around chasing his brother Jake like nothing happened.

This is a shot of the wall surrounding our deck which Joe and I installed around 2002. This will give you an idea how high our deck sat above the yard. The property slopes quite a bit and you walk directly out onto the deck from the kitchen/family room on the main level.

We wanted to save the tree as we had already removed two from the area where the wall was to be installed. Joe and I just could not figure out exactly how to go around the tree. The end result will surprise you.

This was our summer 2003 project. This is also the "Blues Brothers" race track. The one where as Elwood was coming off of he caught his leg and broke it somehow in Jan 2009. Now this area is "fenced" off from the boys.

Finally steps to go from the deck down into the yard without traversing through the ivy and slipping down the hill. There is another way into the yard from the other side of the deck but this was to make it easier to access the deck from the rec room in the lower leve.
